Max Riemelt Born on 7 January 1984 in East Berlin. The coming-of-age comedy "Girls on Top" (2001) marked the beginning of a successful collaboration with director Dennis Gansel, followed up by roles in his feature films "Before the Fall" (2004; award for Best Actor, Karlovy Vary), "The Wave" (2008; Undine Award for Best Young Actor) "We Are the Night" (2010) and "The Fourth State" (2012).

Riemelt has also worked with Dominik Graf on numerous projects – firstly as the lead in the feature film "The Red Cockatoo" (2005; Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actor, Best Actor at Marrakech International Film Festival), followed by the highly acclaimed, Grimme-Award-winning TV series "In the Face of Crime" (2010; German Television Award for the cast, one of four cast members to win the Adolf Grimme Award).

The core of Max Riemelt’s work now consists of leading roles in feature films destined for the big screen ("13 Semester" – "13 Semesters", "Heiter bis wolkig" – "From Cloudy to Clear Skies", "The German Friend").
